Todays Thongs dedicates these links to the art of being a woman. |
A
woman can be many things. She can be a mother, a daughter, a boss or
an employee. She can be a wife, a soccer coach, a car pool
driver or a bed time story reader. But
there is another side to a woman - the gentler side where she may be the dancer, the poetry writer, the
lover and the one who listens to another's heart. A woman loves
sensuality - the touch of velvet and silk on her skin, fine lingerie, a
perfume she adores and the luxury of fragrant candles around the tub as she
bathes. These links are dedicated to
her and the art of being a
woman.

Wendy Gell is a
family friend who has shared our joys and triumphs and has been very
close in times of adversity.
She is also a renowned
artist and jewelry designer. She invented the "Wristy" cuff
bracelet in the early 1970's and crystal cluster earrings which found
quick popularity. Her designs were marketed in Asia, Europe, South
America, and the US; worn by celebrities like Oprah Winfrey, the late
Princess Diana, Michael Jackson and First Lady Hillary Clinton.
Her jewelry adorned the cover of Vogue nine times as well as Paris Vogue,
Essence, Vanity Fair, and many more magazines. Her one-of-a-kind pieces
were collected by Elizabeth Taylor, Cher, Liberace, Elton John, Prince
and Isabella Rossellini.
At my mother's 80th
surprise party recently, I admired her earrings. As she was
leaving, she placed them in my hand. Her loving ways and her generosity of spirit is
unsurpassed. We are so proud to call her "friend". Please click on her
logo to visit the magical world of Wendy Gell. |
